Atelier YQS is a pattern-making studio located in New York City’s Garment District owned and operated by head pattern maker Yaqi Sun.
We specialize in developing patterns and samples for couture, bridal and ready-to-wear designs. We’re known for understanding and translating what designers want into patterns and samples that exceed expectations. Designers work with us because of our attention to detail, creativity, and track record of producing quality work under tight timelines. We’re passionate about the art of pattern making, collaborating with clients, and doing things the right way.

OUR STORY
YAQI SUN
Yaqi immediately followed her dream and jumpstarted her fashion career by moving to New York City right after graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design and worked for a French tailor until the pandemic broke out.​

She took in her previous employer's clients with his help and established her own studio in 2021. Her client list has grown since then, but she prefers to keep a small number of clients to work with, as she wants to be able to focus on the quality of projects she works on, which she is known for in the industry.
